Two Port Arthur residents are in litigation over a rear-end collision.

Samuel Thomas filed suit against Tammy Jacko on June 21 in Jefferson County District Court.

According to the lawsuit, on Nov. 15, 2010, Thomas was traveling on Thomas Boulevard in Port Arthur when Jacko rear-ended him.

The suit accuses the defendant of negligently failing to keep a proper lookout and maintain a safe distance between vehicles.

The plaintiff is suing for his alleged past and future medical expenses, mental anguish, pain, impairment and lost wages, plus all court costs.

Beaumont attorney Ryan Scott represents him.

Judge Donald Floyd, 172nd District Court, is assigned to the case.
